Day 4 - Home time !

 Writing from the plane, here's a little update.  After the beach, the AMAZING leaders cooked us an AMAZING dinner that was an AMAZING pasta dish with AMAZING tomato sauce because they are so AMAZING!! We then helped out with the washing up. We enjoyed coming together for an end of trip reflection we sang a few songs, shared some friendswe'd made and then got our nights away badges.  After going for an early night it all got very hectic with a power cut all across town. Luckily, the lovely hostel owner called his electrician to fix it after half an hour! While we were waiting, we enjoyed some dancing and charades outside. Then we had to pack and go to sleep for an early start in the morning.

 When we woke up we got ready, packed our things and headed outside of the hostel to count everyone and eat a quick breakfast. Then we hopped on the two hour coach journey to the airport. When we got to the airport we had to check in our luggage and go through security for our bags that we wanted to take into the aeroplane. We got VIP treatment with someonefrom the airport helping us through a very quick check in and thn to security.Next we had half an hour of free time to go to the toilet and shop in just ONE shop called Montinegro Duty Free, and bought what we wanted for the plane journey. We walked into the plane searching for our seats and finally relaxing after an early start to the day.

Day 2 - Lake Skadar and Prijestonica Cetinje

We started off with an early start to get to breakfast for 7:30. We were a bit late but the breakfast was amazing with chocolate filled crepes, french toast, cheese, cucumber and tomato. We picked up our lunches and made our way back to the hostel to get ready for today’s adventure.  After breakfast we got on the coach and headed off to Lake Skadar.  While we waited for our boat trip, we did what we love and visited the souvenir shops and stands.  We found a lovely shop where the owner makes all the souvenirs by hand.   Around lunchtime we then went on a boat trip along the beautiful lake covered with lily’s and wildlife. We ate lunch on the boat having sandwiches and fruit that we had received from the caterers who gave us breakfast. The views from the boat were amazing and we particularly loved watching the birds ducking in and out as the boat came.   After the relaxing boat road, we got on the bus and went to the old royal capital Prijestonice of Montenegro. ...

Day 1 - Montenegro here we come !

 This morning we had an early start (very early!) After the coach had left we were all getting very excited about our upcoming adventure. Before we knew it, we were at Stansted airport and made it through a rather busy check in and security.  After a small detour to find the shuttle to the terminal we made it onto the plane.   Arriving at Tivat airport we were immediately hit by the heat and stunning mountain scenery.  Safely through customs we made our way to collect suitcases. Unfortunately for Asantewaa, hers wasn't there but an identical one was! After turning detective and making a few calls we located it as somebody else had mistaken it for theirs. Thankfully Helen makes friends with everyone she speaks to So her friend at Jet2 groups was happy to help. On the way to the hostel, with the help of Marco our coach driver, we did a suitcase trade and headed for the hostel.  Once we got here we had a friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms and settled...

Day 3 - Let's go to the beach !

 We went to breakfast at 7.30 and we ate crepes, French toast, toasties, banana ,apple tomato cucumber. It was very delicious. After, we walked to the sandy beach. We swam in the Adriatic sea and we even did races. We built big sand castles and Layla and Aadya made a huge sand castle with barriers. We had chips for lunch. After lunch, some people relaxed on the beach whilst others went back in the sea and enjoyed spa sessions using the sand. After that some of us got yummy rolled ice-cream the flavours were: kinder bueno, nutella, bounty, Oreo and more. Many of us bought jewellery for our families and ourselves. We looked in other shops as well. Lucy bought a nice beach bag and then the leaders bought us dinner. On the way home people got more ice cream and when we got back home we got free time. Dinner was tomato pasta and cheesy garlic bread. The yummy food was served to us and then it was time to gather around the firepit. We sang songs like pizza hut and quarter masters stores....
